The piano is here!

almond joy had her first lesson an hour later. sometimes things just work. I'll see a bench this afternoon.

I'm so thrilled. not sure why. it certainly takes over the dining room. I'll post a picture later. next to the fireplace and an outside wall (2 no-no's), nonetheless, better than the basement with its 70% humidity and probably better than the middle of the living room. still, it does dominate: it's about the same length as the dining room table.
