(when I was in 8th grade, there was a huge guy named Eugene Mull, who seemed kind of scary, but I suspect he was just not sure how to be a big guy. anyway, the word mulling has always reminded me of him).
almond joy should apply if she wants to do something. sometimes one gets scholarships. that was certainly my approach to many things that seemed beyond my ability to pay. why wouldn't I be telling her this, instead of thinking we can't afford something?
elsewhere, getting caught up on taxes and frequent flier miles (couldn't get the PIN to work and it took an enormous amount of time), and FSA receipts. that sort of thing.
ben t. is done with wrestling and is walking to the library and/or community center after school. this is great. it's a good walk after he's been indoors all day. it takes him to a place where there are occasionally some people. either he works out or reads. I don't mind picking him up when he calls.
must start grading. yesterday I looked a few midterms and it seemed that they must not own the books. these terms should be familiar to them.
reading for the summer online children's lit course -- read Bridge to Terabithia yesterday. I have so much more to read before I have to order the books at the end of the month.
