L'shana Tovah! I'm with you there on seeking community. I've never really "belonged" to a synagogue, other than a few brief stints. That sense of community is the one major thing I've lacked in my otherwise proudly secular lifestyle.


My craving for community was so strong that I finally took extreme measures! Not recommended for you practical people, but I feel your pain.


Savtadotty, I like your extreme measures, if that's what you're calling aliyah!

yes, it's that secular lifestyle that works fine in Israel that loses something in translation in the States, AD.
