next step in making this online class run smoothly: get 28 quizzes up. I have 5 from the previous versions of the class (and about 15 that won't work since I changed the text again). The fall version of this course *will* use exactly the same texts as this class is. so quizzes on Where the Wild Things Are and The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and "Freeway" and Zipes. Guess which class?
other than that: hoping to get a piano this weekend. It's been listed every 2 weeks on Craigslist, so I'll bet they're ready to sell. still, it's somewhat a risk. it's from 1914 so those bones might be brittle and while it sounds wonderful where it is, there are 13 steps down from the house to the road.
yet -- it's the one we want.

Are you moving it yourselves? That would be impressive.
It looks so warm. I'd want it in my home!

That is a beautiful instrument. Then you can spend lovely afternoons reading From the Mixed Up Files while listening to someone play piano. It doesn't get much better than that.

I have grown so tired of Craigslist sometimes. I have found other places like, GoGinzo.com, Kijiji.com, and BackPage.com where I can post without so much difficulty. Just my two cents

Pilgrim, that's a lot of luck!
today I arranged for a tuner to go and look at it and give us his opinion. also arranged for moving if it's a go. so far, looks good, but people are out of town a lot and it might take another week or two.
